“Beneath it all”

As time went by I was hoping for a fresh start,

thinking there was still hope.

I realized I was putting my hope on a small thin line.

Knowing that it was too thin for such a large amount of hope.

Contradicting myself, I still remained positive.

As time went by, I could feel everything was going just right,

and it looked so bright.

Just like the light

at the end of the ocean sight.

Beneath it all, like the crabs underneath the ocean,

you hid your secrets.

The pain came drifting back like large ocean waves.

Washing all my love and hope away.
