It feels good to know how high nature makes you feel. It’s a beautiful feeling to see such a view. Time stands still, while I stand here. I found myself lost, but it was good to know I was finally somewhere else. I caught myself confidently lost, and felt existing. I felt existing from a place I hardly knew. It felt so right, to finally be in a place with so much light. As when darkness falls outside, around me. A light glows inside me, to provide an artificial light. A false, cheap extension of an eternal day. I notice the subtle changes from day to night and how it represents an everlasting contradiction; the timeless battle between darkness and light. Light is darkness, only less severe, whereas darkness is only a denser light. One is not better, nor purer than the other.
Mythology and religion depict these two concepts in the form of good and evil, an ongoing fight where one must conquer the other. And so we have such a problem overcoming these opposites, because we were taught to see them as such. I have challenged light with darkness and pushed myself past my comfort zone, and my soul has become more open.
I now appreciate the times when the moon can be seen while the sun is still up. You just have to open your eyes and look a little deeper than the surface of the evening sky.
